Sarah Jessica Parker is just one woman in a long list of female celebs to be attacked for her looks. OK, so she’s maybe not conventionally good looking but do we really want all the people on our TV or movie screens to look the same? I feel very sorry for her that people are saying Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a horse.
In the media people don’t like to see someone being to successful so every now and again they have to yank them down a peg or two which is why people are saying that Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a horse. There is way to much pressure on celebrities to look good and this in turn is making it difficult for us “regular” people.
I was in a newsagent the other day and saw a magazine with some celebrity or other on the front cover (not sure who is was). It said something about her not believing in the bikini diet reffering to the fact that she wasn’t perfectly slim in her bikini.
This is not sending a good message out, especially to young impressionable girls who see headlines like these and the think to themselves, “well, she looks better than me and she’s getting all this negative attention. I must look really ugly”. I wish there would be a bit more compassion, if that’s the right word, to people and their looks. Not everyone can be perfect all the time and there is a lot more to life than make-up, dresses and handbags.
Put things into persepective and look at the poor people in Burma or the earthquake in China. You’ll soon see all this name calling for what it really is: A load of horse poo!
I can recall someone telling me that Lucy Lawless (of Xena Warrior Princess fame) had a horse face. I never understood how they made that connection.
Yeah you do have to have tough skin to be a celebrity you only have to look at how the media is treated in the newspaper then you have people placing judgement on them.
It is no wonder more and more celebrities are having cosmetic surgery and getting size zero with anorexia and bulimia.
There is so much competitiveness. It is wrong what they say about Sarah Jessica Parker I am sure she is a lovely lady. Why do people have to be so shallow and call people names like this? It is the lowest of the low.
Thanks for drawing attention to the way people treat celebrities hopefully people will learn something from this blog.

In general, someone who has a ‘horse face’ is someone who has a long and narrow face. Sarah Jessica Parker does have this facial attribute and the way she wears her hair often emphasizes this feature. I agree that people should be kinder in their treatment of the way other people look and that it is shallow to think of people in that way. However, people will tend to think that way for various reasons. One can help lessen the impact by using hair styles and makeup to deemphasize such looks. Sadly, to be competitive on TV or the silver screen or even in the mundane job market requires one always look their best. It is what it is. To achieve this look proper diet and exercise is a good start. Finding a professional style consultant can also help. They can guide you through the process of looking your best including the right hair style and cosmetics for your face, skin color and build. As a last resort, cosmetic surgery might be considered but it is best to work with what you have absent any serious problems. Most people prefer a natural look over a painted on style.
Haha, “why the long face, Jessica?”
I’m glad that someone other than myself feels that way about her.
