It doesn’t seem like any time ago that the iPhone was released with such fanfare, now the 3G is soon to be released for $199 on July 11th. I’m sure that those who have already got the iPhone will be quickly discrding it to buy the 3G iPhone simply because it’s got a few extra features. I think it’s crazy myself and I have no intention whatsoever in buying one. I think people just keep wanting the latest gadgets for the sake of it rather than because they really need it.
People are really getting very excited over some of the applications that will be included such as eBay and Loopt. Seemingly Loopt allows you to see where your contacts are on a map. Loopt will even let you know if one of your friends is in the vicinity so that you can meet up if you wish. This all sounds slpended but how about some privacy now and again? I don’t think I really like the idea of people knowing my every move. I can imagine this would be great for over-worrying parents but, really, how many children are going to be able to go around with an iPod 3G? Besides, there is a lot of crime about where children have their cell phones stolen from them and the iPod 3G will really be a magnet for thieves.
Anyway, if you do decide to buy it, I hope it lives up to your expectations and that a new model which is even better isn’t released too soon otherwise you’re going to have a rather large series of credit card bills! There are apparently lots of things you can do with it and should look out for best winterboard themes.
