David Cook is doing pretty well for himself lately after winning American Idol. As if things couldn’t go any better, it seems that he’s starting to go out with Kimberly Caldwell who appeared on season two of American Idol.

“I went out on a date the other day with a woman named Kimberly Caldwell,” said 25 year old David Cook on Live with Regis and Kelly. It appears he had a really great time and he hopes to see more of Kimberly Caldwell.

Kimberly Caldwell and David Cook had dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and David Cook was such a gentleman by opening his car door for Kimberly Caldwell after they finished their meal.

Although Kimberly Caldwell and David Cook didn’t appear on the same season of American Idol, they met because of her weekly AI coverage.

I was so happy that David Cook won. His version of Billie Jean was unbelievable! I’m glad to hear that he is a gentleman. I don’t see enough people open the car door for their significant other.
